The Celebration

The AJO Mirror is a celebration of HER, and all the women who inspire and uplift each other. It honors those who stay true to themselves, challenge time and mindset, seek growth, and embrace who they truly are. It celebrates women who strive to fulfill their potential and do extraordinary things.

This mirror will reflect your best self and expresses gratitude for the women who have helped you become YOU! When you look into this mirror, take a moment to breathe and appreciate all the women in your life—whether it’s your mother, sister, aunt, or a friend. Be thankful for them.

My number is 6! I have six strong reasons to celebrate life, to be thankful and grateful! This mirror is a special dedication to my adorable mother and my five beautiful sisters! And a special note to Liridona—thank you for reminding me how precious this life is and how lucky I am to have learned so much from you!

Have you ever wondered what your lucky number is?

The Inspiration

Drawing inspiration from the Goddess on the Throne (Hyjnesha në Fron), a symbol of our city Prishtina, which embodies female strength and beauty, reflecting the spirit of the city and its resilience.

The Goddess in Throne is a small terracotta figurine found near Prishtina, Kosovo, in 1956. It dates back to 5700-4500 BC and is part of the Neolithic Turdaș-Vinča culture. This statue represents a female deity, symbolizing the great mother idol, and is kept in the Museum of Prishtina. It is one of Kosovo’s most treasured archaeological artifacts.

The photos were taken in the ancient city of Ulpiana, an archaeological site near Pristina. Ulpiana is a Roman-Pre-Byzantine settlement, one of the most important cultural heritage sites in the Republic of Kosovo. While Kosovo is a relatively young nation, its territory has a rich history. Ulpiana was once the administrative, economic, and cultural center during Roman times.

I took pictures of AJO, a neolithic-inspired mirror, in the Roman-Illyrian ancient city, both connected to our beloved Prishtina. Through this, I wanted to highlight the significance and remarkable heritage of our land, emphasizing how ancient the civilization of our country truly is.
